Good design converses⎯it listens carefully, responds thoughtfully and creates moments of shared clarity.

I craft solutions that don’t just fix what’s broken but illuminates what’s possible. My practice in thoughtful rebellion aims to make innovation feel inevitable.

Notable Work

01

Case Studies

A collection of works that demonstrate my process.

FinTech Portal

Helping financial experts craft compelling narratives that power everything from Alexa to Kindle and Kuiper to Zoox

Team Identity Workshop

Building design culture and team alliance by embedding design into org strategy and execution

Contexa (Extended Detection & Response)

Redefining the role of cybersec tools to enhance threat detection and remediation through cross-domain telemetry and ML

Locker Optimization

Redesigning the end-to-end online purchase to in-warehouse locker delivery and pick-up experience by addressing upstream challenges and downstream constraints

Design Systems & Pattern Libraries

From Costco’s first design system to every team since, I’ve helped wrangle messy experiences into scalable design patterns (and governance workflows) that make it easier for cross-functional teams to be nimble and stay aligned

02

Design

Principles

My principles guide how I approach problems, shape solutions and collaborate with others. They aren’t rigid rules, they’re reminders of what matters.

“Good” design to me is the equivalent to having a good conversation

Be your toughest critic

Play devil’s advocate and challenge assumptions, especially your own. Challenging your own work from opposing viewpoints strengthens both the solution and advocacy for it. The best designs emerge when you’ve already addressed the counterarguments before they’ve raised.

Expand the realm of possibility

Design not only solves existing problems but reveals new opportunities users have not considered. We should create experiences that allow users to reimagine what’s possible, bridging the gap between current limitations and future potential.Call out a feature, benefit, or value that can stand on its own.

Dig beneath the surface

Trust, but verify. Always listen first but don’t stop there! Some of the most valuable insights lie in what people don’t say or can’t articulate. By probing deeper and finding correlations, true needs can be addressed and “magic” crafted.

03

Personality

The design team of 3; made up of an introvert, extrovert and ambivert.

04

Voice

& Tone

My voice is clear, direct and occasionally cheeky⎯because design can be serious business but that doesn’t mean we always have to be.

I tailor how I communicate depending on who’s in the room. Whether it’s friendly and collaborative or bold and to the point, I adjust to meet the moment and move the work forward. You’ll often hear me say “Trust, but verify”, because good design starts with curiosity and gets better with rigor.

By keeping my voice human, I build trust and make the design process just as delightful as the final product.

05

Notable Work

Other notable work and side quests.

Brand spokesperson for a TechEd startup, running research studies to test curriculum and help develop a custom drag-and-drop coding language

Recognition alongside my content and research partners for taking initiative, planning and execution of developing mission, values and guiding principles on how we collaborate with others.

Designed Costco’s membership verification flow, resulting in 3000+ new members daily in the Canadian market alone.

Prototyping FUN things and “forcing” my teammates to partake in outlandish ideation with me 🤣

Awarded a “Meccy” for continuous innovation at Amazon through iterative inspection and adaptation processes. It celebrates the systems and people who create sustainable ways to navigate Amazon's constantly changing scale and complexity by building mechanisms that take inputs, drive outputs, and continuously evolve over time.

Crafted accessible solutions across every Costco initiative, including a11y timeout modals, marketing carousels and customized interactions.

Optimized the floral shopping journey which led to the reduction of friction points across all product detail pages and cart and checkout flows to increase cart conversion by over 3%

Led design for Costco Member Prescription Program (CMPP) and a new family account management feature, including the introduction of pet medication services. Contributed to the platform earning top online pharmacy recognition 3 consecutive years.

First hand accounts directly from my previous team at VMware.
